Atlantic Orthopedics Spine Care Center one of the first centers in North Carolina to publish clinical outcomes report card
WILMINGTON, N.C.,- (July 6, 2011) - The Spine Care Center of Atlantic Orthopedics, PA recently demonstrated its commitment to quality by being one of the first spine centers in the State of North Carolina to publish and distribute a Clinical Quality Outcome Report Card to physicians, managed care, and workers compensation carriers. The annual report documents the spine center’s clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, functional status and return to activity for complex back and neck pain patients. The group recognizes the importance of collecting data to document and measure quality. Quality is a journey, however, rather than a destination, and the group is committed to continually improving its services to patients.

A big congratulations to all of the participants in the 2011 Atlantic Orthopedics Duathlon at Brunswick Forest
The duathlon took place on Sunday, May 15, 2011 and over 200 athletes participated in the event benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Team in Training.
The race start and finish was located near the Fitness center in beautiful Brunswick Forest. The 5K and 2 mile run legs were flat and fast through some of the many pretty areas of Brunswick Forest. The bike course was a flat and fast double loop with new, smooth pavement. Streets were open to local traffic only.

Trauma Specialist Joins Atlantic Orthopedics, PA
& Develops the Region’s First Orthopedic Trauma Program

WILMINGTON, NC - Patients with traumatic musculoskeletal injuries taken by paramedics to NHRMC’s Level II Trauma Center now have access to the region’s only fellowship-trained orthopedic trauma specialist. Neil R. MacIntyre, MD an orthopedic traumatologist recently joined the team of eleven fellowship-trained orthopedic specialists at Atlantic Orthopedics, PA. Dr. MacIntyre specializes in traumatic and post-traumatic musculoskeletal injuries that are caused by motor vehicle accidents, falls or other high energy traumatic injuries. Wilmington, NC - October 8, 2010 - Atlantic Orthopedics a regional referral center for orthopedics and spine is pleased to welcome Todd Rose, MD to their group practice.
Dr. Rose is board-certified in orthopedic surgery. He earned his medical degree at Duke University School of Medicine and completed an internship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Rose completed his residency in Orthopedics at Duke University. He recently completed a fellowship in Spine Surgery at the Spine Institute of Arizona. Proceeds to benefit Step Up for Soldiers
On Sunday, May 23rd at 8am over #175 men and women participated in the First Annual Brunswick Forest Duathlon Event sponsored by Atlantic Orthopedics, PA with proceeds benefiting the Step Up for Soldiers charity organization. Step Up For Soldiers remodels entire homes for injured vets and helps returning injured military veterans re-adjust to life with physical challenges brought on by war. Atlantic Orthopedics has been treating injured marines and their families for over 12 years through its Jacksonville, NC satellite office and recently opened a new office within Brunswick Forest in April. The race a 5K run, 10K bike, and 2 mile run course was the first Duathlon to be held in the area. The event took place throughout the beautiful development of Brunswick Forest. Drs. Shawn Hocker and Robert Boswell two of the sports medicine specialists at Atlantic Orthopedics participated in the event as well as Physical Therapy Supervisor Greg Burnett and Chris Johnson, PT. Atlantic Orthopedics also provided a water stop station with Erica Bradshaw, Nancy Clark and Jennifer Loper passing out Gatorade and water and words of encouragement to the race participants. Atlantic Orthopedics, PA was proud to be the presenting sponsor of the first ever Duathlon event along with the Brunswick Forest community.
